Designed as the centrepiece of a serious listening room, the Genus Ultimate brings a turntable, Hi-Fi separates and a record collection into one confident, architectural tower. The Verte de Terre satin finish softens the imposing 1270 mm silhouette, while the open tiers keep every component accessible.
The cabinet is made in Neil’s York workshop from his own lightweight engineered material and built up with ten coats of finish. Polished aluminium legs are cast to Neil’s exclusive Genus design. Two shelves are made from toughened safety glass with every edge polished, and a tall rear slot makes cable connections straightforward. Each tier has adjustable, locking feet that can be set from outside the unit.
The internal footprint is 470 mm wide by 400 mm deep. Equipment clearances are 210 mm in the large tier, 155 mm in the middle tier and 125 mm in the top tier. The base record-storage section sits 635 mm from the floor.
This is the photographed showroom piece and is ready for immediate delivery on Neil’s own transport. The speaker spikes have light marks from being moved around the shop; these are cosmetic and do not affect the unit. A custom stack can also be commissioned for different equipment or dimensions.
